Paul Wright AM
Chairman FAIM, FAICD
Paul has combined banking, health, hospitality and consulting into a career which has encompassed over 25 years in senior executive management. He has been General Manager Qld and NT for the Medical Benefits Fund of Australia Limited and provided executive services as General Manager of The Brisbane Club.
Paul has also been a company director for more than 20 years and has served as Chairman of The Australian Institute of Management, The Royal Flying Doctor Service and the Queensland Institute of Medical Research Trust. He is currently the Chairman of BSES Limited and Phoenix Eagle Company Pty Ltd.
Other current Board appointments include Australian Sugar Industry Alliance Ltd, IDEC Solution Pty Ltd, and Queensland Fruit and Vegetable Growers Limited.
Carolyn Barker AM
Chairman of Audit and Risk Committee FAIM
Carolyn is the Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Institute of Management (AIM)Qld and NT and Managing Director of TheCyber Institute Pty Ltd. Under Carolyn's leadership the AIM Group has grown to be a unified cluster of commercial education, publishing and online learning businesses. She consults to business, industry and government on leadership and organisational growth and change.
Carolyn holds an MBA from the University of South Australia and is an Adjunct Professor at Griffith University. She is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management and sits on the National Board of the Institute.
Carolyn is the Chair of the Brisbane City Council’s Business Advisory Board and Chair of the Griffith Business School Advisory Council and until recently was Chairman of The Queensland Orchestra.
In 2005, Carolyn was awarded an Order of Australia for services to management and the arts.
Greg Rudd
Greg is currently Managing Director of GPR Services Asia which assists Australian companies wishing to do work in China and Chinese companies wishing to do work in Australia. Greg is Chair of Quipa Ltd, a software development company with research and development facility in New Zealand and marketing operations in London.
Greg came from a strong background in education and the performing arts. He has taught in secondary and tertiary institutions, served on professional associations, been an actor/writer with the Queensland Theatre Company, General Manager of the TN Theatre Company and the Queensland Ballet, had two books of plays and a novel published and is currently working on a new novel.
Greg was a Chief of Staff in the Hawke/Keating Governments for six years and began a boutique government relations consultancy in 1996 called Open Door Consulting which he sold in 2007. Greg is a member of the Committee for Economic Development of Australia (CEDA) and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Alex de Waal
Alex is the Managing Director of Copelands and Pickers (CP), manufactures of quality canvas and PVC shade solutions. Prior to the acquisition of CP in 2005, Alex was a highly recognised leader in the tourism industry, both in Queensland and overseas. Some of the positions Alex held included hotel industry management roles in Paris, Vienna, Salzburg, Munich and Sydney; product purchasing and management for Qantas Holidays, Sydney; Director, European operations for Tourism Queensland, Munich; Executive Director of Marketing for Tourism Queensland, Global operations; Executive General Manager of TQ Commercial, Sunlover Holidays and the Queensland Travel centres and call centre.
Past board appointments have included Indy Gold Coast board, Tourism Tropical North Queensland, and Gold Coast Tourist Bureau.
